Arlene on Accurate Estimating

As Chief Scientist for PRICE Systems, provider of world class cost estimating tools and services, I spend my days researching new technologies, processes and techniques associated with the development and production of hardware, software and systems.  While the end goal is to develop an understanding of how various factors impact cost, the journey requires that I learn new things every day about how the world works.  I frequently publish or present these findings to the cost and measurement communities in various venues around the world.   The primary focus of my research (and my main passion) is all things related to Software Development and Information Technology although this has not precluded occasional forays into topics such as hardware manufacturing, systems engineering and composite materials.
